Hi i just change knock censersin 2005 gmc 6.0 cause i had check eng. light on and the code 327 323 now same code come on any help would be apresheated thank you ; alan

I really doubt the knock sensor is the problem, check the connector 1st for water intrusion or oil, if u do replace it then u must torque it to the proper spec into the cooling system jacket of the block or it will set another code.

Could Be your mass air flow sensor. Start there.

the knock sensors are located below the intake plenum,or,upper intake manifold as some call it, they screw into the lower intake, the front one is sensor 1, the rear is sensor 2. it is wise to change both if you have some miles.since you are going to be buying a gasket set to do this job.the sensors are cheaper than the gaskets.

CHECK RACK AND PINION FOR LOOSE OR MISSING FRAME MOUNTING CLAMP AND GROMMET.THAT WILL CAUSES KNOCK NOISE ON TURNS.

Your sensor went off because it overknocked.
Try using a different type of fuel with a higher octane.
Erase the code and use the better gas. if it comes back then we will worry about replacing it.
