You can try Ebay...no guarantees, but it's a place to start. The 379, 401 and 478 were also the engines of that particular time, but I don't know about interchangeability of the seals. Good luck...

There should be a big nut in the center of the wheel hub. You will have to remove atleast one of the ball joints if it's IFS.

I would have the repair shop see if they either damaged or left disconnected the oxygen sensor for engine cylinder bank one upstream sensor, this sensor would have been disconnected if the oil pan was removed.

Yes, I think you're right that it's the seal that is leaking.

SOURCE: Need a engine diagram for

Just a little advise before you jump to thinking the rear main seal is leaking. The vast majority of the oil leaks from these 2.8L motors are the rear intake manifold seal and the distributor o-ring. I would check them first. The rear main seal is in the lower rear of the motor, you have to remove the transmission to replace ti.

I have a 1996 GMC Sierra what engine wiring harness is interchangeable with this truck

I believe a 96-98 harness from any chevy or gmc would work. V8 to V8 not V6 to V8 the 305 and 350 would be the same harness

Needing fuel line

Yes, they should interchange. Check your local salvage yards for a parts van. Or you might have to purchase a piece of tubing from your local parts store and bend it to match your original piece.

On a 1990 v6 gmc do you need to pull the engine to replace the main rear seal

You can leave the engine in, just drop the transmission and replace the seal from under the truck.

95 gmc sierra k1500 4x4 5spd manual noise

the leak is probably a separate issue from the noise. is the leak very bad? can you tell if it's engine oil or transmission lube/fluid? most likely the rear main bearing seal needs replacing. the noise is most likely the clutch release bearing. you should replace all components of the clutch assembly which include; clutch plate, pressure plate, release bearing and piolot bearing. also have the fly wheel resurfaced. while the trans is out, you can check the rear main seal and the trans input shaft seal and replace accordingly.

Does anyone know the crank main bearing nut torque Alfa V6 3l

Torque to 25Nm, then tighten through a further 79 degrees. You need an angle gauge to do it properly.

What engines will fit in my 2000 gmc jimmy

the only engine that your truck has available is the 4.3 Liter V6, u can install a 4.8 liter V8 or a 5.3 liter V8, but that would be very complicated and costly and u would have trouble getting it certified to pass smog inspections
