0775 is Presure Control Solenoid "B", 0784 is 4-5 Shift these are trans codes from the transmission Solenoid. This is a changable part for any mech. Part is around $200 & includes the gasket.

My 2002 Camry V6 is having some issues. Went in for an oil change that turned into a front struts, springs and mounts job. Then I was having some problem in the higher speeds waiting for the car to shift, so had a tune up done, which meant new spark plugs, and of course, the gasket! So now I am out about 1K and now the check engine light comes on. Had it checked out and and a catalytic code came up. They fiddled with it and got the check engine light off, but now the VSC and TRAC OFF lights are on. What does all this mean? Should I take the plunge and get the cat converter done now?

LR Pressure Switch is always in "Open" position. Must be closed at Park, Rev and Neutral.
Could anyone explain to me how the switch works. Is this the solenoid pack or the LR Pressure issue? The L/R pressure switch should be closed in P/N only. The switch should open when put into REV if the trans is not in limp-in mode. All switches will stay CLOSED if the trans is in limp-in mode. Disconnect the trans 8-way connector at the solenoid pack. Key on scanner hooked up apply 12 volts to the L/R pressure switch pin in the 8-way connector and watch for the switch to change from open to closed. If it does change the SSV may be stuck in the TCC position. You will have to remove the valvebody and inspect the solenoid switch valve to know for sure. The pressure switch itself is in the solenoid pack. If you have an old solenoid pack changing it is easier and quicker than inspecting the valvebody. Perform your diag for fault P1784. I believe the pressure switch is also closed in 1st gear also. Hope this helps.
