SOURCE: Evap vent solenoid

If you don't replace, it the service engine light will stay on. You'll get used to the light (or you'll cover it up). Then when something else goes wrong, you wont know.

2001 Ford F-150. How to replace the EVAP on it. I have DTC Code P1451.

Question edited for clarity, 'evac' to 'EVAP' and toss in some CAPS.
Question moved to model category.

Better to test it than just replace. $30 on Amazon, $90 at Autozone.

The P1451 code indicates that there's an issue with your vehicle's EVAP systems vent solenoid. The engine control module (ECM) looks for a change in the EVAP system pressures to validate that the EVAP vent solenoid has actually opened or closed the vent.

My 96 Chevy blazer won't accept gas every time I

Codes or no Evap Codes, the issue is in that system
You need a schematic of the evap system, so you can
test the solenoid or valves, mainly the vent solenoid, if that
applies Not the purge valve, that is up front & opens to allow
engine vacuum to draw out fuel fumes from the tank.

Emission failure on 2001 chevy blazer 4.3-

your vehicle has a vent valve solenoid located on the evap canister under the back end of the vehicle. You most likely have a bad vaccuum line going to the evap caniser. Have the vehicle smoke tested to verify. If no leaks are found replace the vent valve solenoid

I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer with 4.3 liter have to keep putting gas in throttle body for it to start. What might be the problem?

if your car starts after putting gas in throttle, means that you have no sufficient fuel feeding and one cause is the injection system not providing the need fuel, pressure regulator the second cause,or the fuel filter is blogged.

P0449 fault code on 2001 Blazer S10

EVAP Vent Solenoid Control Circuit Malfunction, should just need a Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Canister Vent Solenoid/Valve.
first test and check the wiring and make sure that its 100% the vent solenoid before you replace it, follow the steps below. you will need a volt meter and ohm meter which is available at any auto or hard ware store.
Tips:Evaporative vent solenoid is located on the rear of the frame cross member behind the fuel tank.

1. Test the voltage at the disconnected Powertrain Control Module (PCM) terminal Key On, Engine Off (KOEO).

2. If 0 volts, test voltage at the canister vent solenoid White wire.

3. If 0 volts, test voltage at vent solenoid Pink wire.

4. If 0 volts at the vent solenoid Pink wire, test at the ENG 1 labeled fuse.

5. If the fuse is B+, test at the under hood fuse block C3 32 cavity Red connector terminal F3. Should be B+.

6. If terminal is B+, trace and repair the wire from the under hood fuse block to the vent solenoid.

Have a code 0449 2001 blazer

Hi.

P0449 means: evaporative emission (evap) canister vent solenoid valve, incorrect voltage at driver.

Check the evap. ventilation valve, wiring and and solenoid. The evaporative system is located under the vehicle near to the fuel tank.

Regards.

I recently purchased this 1999 Chevy Blazer and it wont pass inspection because the OBD2 Diagnostic trouble code states it's problem is, code P0440-Evaporative Emission System. The guy said it looks like...

The evaporative leak detection diagnostic strategy is based on applying a vacuum to the EVAP system and monitoring the vacuum decay rate. The VCM monitors the vacuum level via the fuel tank pressure sensor input. At an appropriate time, the EVAP purge solenoid and the EVAP vent solenoid turn ON, allowing the engine vacuum to draw a small vacuum on the entire evaporative emission system. If a sufficient vacuum level cannot be achieved, a large leak or an EVAP system malfunction is indicated.

The following conditions can cause this problem:
* A disconnected or malfunctioning fuel tank pressure sensor
* A missing, malfunctioning, improperly installed, or loose fuel cap
* A disconnected, damaged, pinched, or blocked EVAP purge line
* A disconnected or damaged EVAP vent hose
* A disconnected, damaged, pinched, or blocked fuel tank vapor line
* A disconnected or malfunctioning EVAP purge solenoid
* A disconnected or malfunctioning EVAP vent solenoid
* An open ignition feed circuit to the EVAP vent or purge solenoid
* A damaged EVAP canister
* A leaking fuel sender assembly O-ring
* A leaking fuel tank or fuel filler neck

Any of the above conditions can set a DTC P0440.
