as tight as you can get it, with out stripping it. i usually torque them to like 40 Ft/lbs

Axle shaft bolt should be torqued to 147 Ft Lbs plus 1/4 turn.
The six CV joint bolts should be 59 Ft Lbs.
Ball joint nut should be 48 Ft Lbs
