change distributor cap first and see how it goes could have a crack in it.Failing which you need to test the ignition module when its cold as sometimes a component will break down and not work when its cold ,this is very much a hands on type job so if dist cap doesnt cure it call a mobile mechanic

If it is happening more frequently in cold or damp weather it could be a spark issue. Wet or damp weather can effect spark plug wires if there is even minor damage to them (usually occurs durring rain). The other things that come to mind are the fuel pump and lastly the fuel line check ball that is in the fuel tank. If it is leaking then all the fuel in the line will drain back into the tank over night (pressure lost in the fuel line) and this will cause repeated, extended cranking when you first start the car in the morning or after the car has sat for several hours.

sounds like a short. i would check and see if there is any breaks in the defroster lines in the glass. maybe you have a bad connection

If this only happens when it's damp out, chances are your spark plug wires are arcing. When was the last time they were replaced? If they're factory wires, they'll be marked with the year they were made on the wires. Usually these won't last more than 10 years or 100,000 miles.
If they're in question, change the plug wires, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor.
