Fan resistor broken or the thermal switch on the rad is damaged. remove the wiring and connect something a cross the wiring side with the ignition on if the fan comes on the switch in rad needs replacing they do wear out over time. dont worry about the wiring as its earthing switch. resistor is in the housing on the rad but on some models its on the fan wiring.

The fan is on because the wire is cut. If the ecu does not detect a signal from the fan switch it will default as on. Replace the wire and fan temperature switch and all will be ok

try the main fan. Then check strip fuse for the Aux fans. Then check A/C charge or the sensor that checks it because that turns on the low speed on the Aux fan. Then check the Engine temp sensor as that controls the high speed Aux fan control.
Also a stuck open thermostat will cause overheat.
