SOURCE: wont start - Engine cranks but wont fire, petrol ok, battery ok,whereto next ?

Open your hood there is a little grey box on the right hand side open it up and it will have some plugbs there is a plug in the front that is a 3prong take it out and replace it, That should do the job. If no then you will need to replace them all but no worrys the cost for the I replaced was $4.00 no more then $10.00. If you can't find it let me know I will take a picture and do it that way. Don'tworry we will get it working.

Peugeot Partner van 1.4 petrol. Crank won't start, strong smell of petrol?

Engines only need three things to start.

  1. Fuel (we know you have that)
  2. Compression (we assume nothing happened since the last time it ran)
  3. A spark at the right time (this is the likely culprit)

You need to scan the engine management computer and read the fault codes. Based on that info you can begin the diagnosis and repair.

Peugeot Instructions

You don't necessarily have to attach your ground to the ground on the battery. You can ground to the engine block and it will do the same job. Yuo may have to scratch it a few times to get good contact. Hope this helps.

Peugeot 307 hdi 2002 5 door will not start

Check the fob battery because if the battery has gone then you can't immobilise the car immobiliser which in turn doesn't let you start the engine however it cranking. open the bonnet and remove the clips of car battery for a good 15-20 minutes and put them back and check your remote key and try to start your car. If nothing happens then let your car diagnosed by a experienced mechanic who is able to read out the ecu codes.
