If it was the immobiliser the engine would not turn over, you need a diagnostics done to find the fault, a common fault is the BSI (main fuse box )

Hi i had problems starting mine( just bought it) i was stuck in a carpark for 20mins trying to start it!
Try pressing the lower button (lock/unlock) on your key fob then start her up but make sure your foot is right down on the clutch-or she won;t go! Hope this helps?! i had no manual with mine so if you got any usefull info would appreciate it- iv;e also got a gas tank in the boot- is that standard?have you got one?
