Rpm gauge and speedometer stoped working

DOES UR SPEEDOMETER WORKS OR NOT? BOTH GAUGES STOPED AT THE SAME TIME?IF NOT THE TEMP SENSOR MIGHT BE FAULTY.CHECK IT.THE FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT WORK AT ALL OR IT GOES UP AND DOWN?CHECK FUSES ALSO.FRIDAY I CAME ACROSS A FAULTY SPEEDOMETER AND A MALFUNCTIONING FUEL GAUGE AND I FOUND WATER INSERTED INSIDE THE SPEEDOMETERS CONNECTOR CAUSING BAD CONTACT.BE SURE TO CHECK THAT TOO..LET ME KNOW....

You need to have the stepper motors replaced , stepper motors make the gauges work ! How to repair GM Instrument Cluster Speedometer Gauge Stepper

Remove it..Probably installed incorrectly . Tach is probably incorrectly wired into the distributor harness and effecting rpm voltage to the speedometer and may possibly blown the voltage regulator to the gauge in the dash.

I suspect that your sender is malfunctioning. Todays speedometers and RPM is sent from a sensor/sender near the drive shaft. A magnet on the drive shaft is sensed and the revolutions are converted to RPM and speed.

This is a common problem on the 03-06 Tahoe instrument cluster, it's caused by failing gauge motors inside the cluster itself. Usually you will see one gauge start to "stick" or read weird for a while, eventually it will spin over and stop all together. Later more gauges will start to do the same, one by one.

i would start by looking behind your instrument panel and make sure all the connections are tight

Go to the fuse box and change the fuse for "Gauges". I think this might solve the problem.

Make sure you check the battery, starter, and alternator. You can take your car to autozone, napa or advance auto parts, they can check it for you for free. let me know

check all grounds

replace the circuit board in the cluster.
