SOURCE: where is the camshaft positioning sensor located

Your 2004 Nissan Quest is most likely to be equipped with a 3.5L V-6 engine. This engine has 2 Cam (PHASE) sensors. One is located in the back of each cylinder head. You must remove your intake air duct to see them.

SOURCE: oil sending unit on 2004 chrysler sebring V6

Should be located close to the oil filter. It will screw in like a spark plug. It has a harness plug. Easy to change, save yourself $70 in labor. You will need a fairly large wrench to remove

Under intake manifold on top of block, you need to remove intake to access sensors there are two of them you can't miss them when intake is off. After replacing sensors you need a new intake gasket.

I have looked everywhere and also went to my 2 of my parts suppliers and there is only one knock sensor for your vehicle. Below are pictures right out of my Nissan Factory Service Manual and it does only list 1 knock sensor. If you have any questions or need any testing procedures feel free to email me at [email protected]. and I will send what I have.

Where is the knock sensor located on a 2004 Ford Freestar with the 4.2 engine?

The knock sensor is installed in the lower forward area of the block on an OHC V6 engine.
I believe another option to the knock sensor is the "Mass Air Flow Sensor" That would be easy to see from the top side of engine on the Air Inlet tube on the Throttle Body.

Diagram location knock sensor quest 1998,I don't find the knock sensor on the nissan quest 1998

it is buried under the intake manifold. But ignore the knock sensor code, it means absolutely nothing. It will not resolve any issue you have. The KS code is usually the result of a broken engine mount.

go here if you have any issues.

Location of knock sensor

Knock sensors can be difficult to locate because there usually buried under intake or exhaust manifolds and misc. engine wiring and plumbing. Knock sensors need to hear an engine knocking noise, therefore there usually located somewhere they can hear an engine knock. If it's a V6 then possibly it will be between the cylinder heads and access to them can only be attained by removing the intake manifold. I would suggest calling a Nissan Dealer parts person and ask them. Good luck.

Need to find location knock sensor for replace

I know that the knock sensor for a 1998 Quest with a 3.0 is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment under the intake manifold. You should be able to find the wiring and connector next to the intake manifold. To access the sensor, you have to remove the upper and lower intake manifold. The sensor is on the block between the heads. Hope this helps.
