The M.A.S. is in the top of the metal tube between the air filter box and the intake manifold. It will have a wire connected to it and it is held in by 2 screws. This is an easy replacement and should take no more than 5 to 10 minutes, assuming you are taking your time.

Where is bank 1 mass air flow sensor on 2000 cavalier

There is only one Mass Air Flow sensor .No such thing as a bank 1 or bank 2 Mass Air flow sensor on a 2000 Chevy Cavalier. I think you mean Bank 1 O2 sensor . For that I need to know if you have a 4 cylinder or a V-6 . If it is a 4 cylinder it is located in the center of the exhaust manifold at the front of the engine under the hood. If you have a V-6 it is still loctaed in the exhaust maniifold but at the end of it where the exhaust pipes bolt up

My chevy blazer 2000 ha a p0101 code changed the mass air flow sensor still does not want to accelerate

Hi there:
This code is set when the MAF (Mass Air Flow) meter is not sending the PCM the correct information. This can be due to a bad conection of the rubber intake hose between the MAF and the Throttle plate opening, a dirty air filter, a dirty mass air flow or a bad mass air flow.

Most programmer have you tie into the iat sensor in the mass air flow. this can cause the the iat sensor oto short out.

Hope helps.

Where is mass air flow senser on a 1989 buick regal

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The BUICK Regal Mass Air Flow sensor is usually installed in the intake air duct between the air filter and the throttle body mounted on the intake manifold. Also check the throttle body for mass air flow sensors location.
On mass air flow sensors with a sense wire, this wire can become contaminated with dust particles. These particles can be removed with automotive solvents that are safe for the use on mass air flow sensors. Before replacing the mass air flow sensor check for air leaks in the connecting air ducts and intake manifold. These leaks can cause similar symptoms as a malfunctioning mass air flow sensor.

Bad or contaminated BUICK Regal Mass Air Flow sensor can possibly cause a wide range of various vehicle drivability problems such as stalling, especially when the engine is cold, misfiring, poor acceleration, etc. In addition, a problem with the Mass Air Flow sensor often causes the "check engine" or "service engine soon" light in the vehicle instrument panel to illuminate.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Code po102 came up on my daughter's 2002 Buiick Le Sabre the engine is a 3800 v-8

You can remove the mass air flow sensor with some carb cleaner. You will see 2 wires inside of the sensor to clean. If it does not work you will most likely need a mass air flow sensor.
