my husband replaced the window motor and regulator and it fixed the issue. The dealer can also do this but was going to charge about $300.00...my husband fix ran about $100.00... $40.00 for the motor and $60.00 for the regulator. Hope this helps.
Which components of the mirror aren't working? If all positions fail to work, then check the switch for a fault. If only some mirror functions aren't working, then replace the mirror.
Short of removing the tail light assembly and replacing the gaskets (usually expensive) My usual solution to that problem is simple, easy and has never failed. Drill two very small holes in the bottom of the lens (no larger than the lead in a common pencil). When doing that, don't press hard on the drill...let it cut. Excess pressure will sometimes crack the plastic. That will permit any accumulated water out, and will permit air to circulate so it remains relatively dry. I have seen people remove the assembly and glue it together using silicone etc but there is a huge draw back to that being that if you ever need to take it apart you are likely to break something, or it will take a few hours work to do that. Also, the next time you replace the bulb(s) make sure the sockets aren't corroded and use some grease to prevent that from happening.
you don`t have to take it to the dealer for this work.just find a shop that has a good reputation for electrical work and have them repair it.you don`t say if the tech checked the fuses as this dash is controlled by electrics.I would not suggest your husband try to ix it as in the end it could cost you far more to have it repaired properly.no offense to your husband, as electrical work is not easy if you don`t understand wiring.
