you must remove brakes, then remove axle nut, then remove upper control arm and finally tie rod stabilizer, remove axle from car then bearing can be accessed. this is a difficult job that requires special tools so be careful

How do I find out if my F250 Super Duty 4x4 has front ABS or just rear ABS?

There will be a wire leading to the abs sensor on the inside of the wheel (dual wire actually usually green and black). So you should see the brake line and a wire. If no wire, no front abs.

I have a ford f250 diesel 4x4 and the front axle is makeing a grinding noise any one know what that is

It sounds like you may have a wheel hub bearing going bad . Jack up front of truck and spin each tire and listen for any noise it should be quite and spinfree if you find it's bad you must replace the whole hub you can't just repair the bearing this is a common problem on the f250

2001 Ford F250 Super Duty 4x4; the outer bearing for the right rear wheel axle will not slide into place. We are 100% sure it's the right bearing because we thought we had the wrong one and went to the...

Is it the same as the one you took off? thats what you need to verify. If it doesnt fit. Maybe the bearing surface is deformed, it would help tremendously if you told us some history, like, why you are replacing the bearing in the first place.

sound like your limited slip clutch in the differental is worn, normally you shouldn't be able without alot of force to turn one of the tires.... inspect the clutches or replace the fluid and retest....simple way to check the rear bearings is to remove the axle and spin the wheel and listen....GL

Is there a maximum speed for high 4x4 on the 2008 f-150 supercrew?

Let common sense be your guide. 4HI puts power to the front and rear wheels at the same ratio as in 2wd for gear selected, allowing for better traction at higher speeds. 4LO puts power to the wheels at a ratio for more torque to the wheels.Just remember that all 4 tires are pulling so handling may be alittle different.
