SOURCE: bad smell in air vent chevy impala

It is not fixed by an aerosol or scent additive to the air in the cabin. It will only mask the smell for a period of time.

Your cause is the air filter for the A/C system. You can buy a new one at local auto stores.

To replace it, you will need to open your hood. On the passenger side of the car, look just under the windshield at the trim panel under the wipers. You will see several tabs holding down this particular side of the trim piece. Using a phillips head screwdriver, gently rotate the screw pieces out of the tab holder (if this doesn't get it, you'll need to use a small flat head in unison to apply pressure to the screw to come out). There are 3. Once these are removes, gently pull the hood rubber gasket seal up and place out of the way. Note: you won't need to remove it from the car, just enough to clear the trim piece. Remove the trim and you will see a filter. Remove the filter and replace. Installation of trim is reverse.

That will fix your mildew smell from the vents. This WILL NOT fix a mildew smell if caused by interior mildew.

Note: The directions to change this filter are also found in your Owner's Manual if you have it. It is a simple procedure and should take about 15 minutes if you are taking your time.

Thanks for the inquiry.

SOURCE: 2000 chevy impala overheat and starter failing

okay do this go directly to the starter and started directly from the starter, it should work or you can hear it kicking in but if it doesnt turn then the problem is gonna in the engine, if it turns the problem is gonna be in the electrical ,put possive current in the thiner cable thats the signal to strart. if nothing still then turn the engine by hand or use a ratchet from the front crank pulley to start it. when manually you turn it by hand try the starter again. the over heating part is all a diffrent side. when a car is over heated really hard you mess-up the headgaskets causing over 1,200 bill to your engine. but you wont know till you start it. be care full when you start it at the starter have some one with you and have the igntion on the on possion. and once again be carefull by not been around or the tranny in gear or getting stuck o the pullyes, k hope this helps send a feedback

SOURCE: We have a 2004 Chevy impala that has a new

Hi! Not sure what you mean by "not starting", but I think you mean the battery is completely drained? Try charging the battery and unplugging the review mirrow and pull the fuse for the radio. Wait 12 hours and see if there is juice left in the battery. My 2003 had a constant drain, this fixed it temporarily.

Calibration complete going on my dash I got a 2007 impala

Someone probably forgot to finish the calibration with their scanner. If the car runs fine and everything works, I wouldn't worry too much. If the light is annoying, you will most likely have to pay someone to complete the job.

2002 chevy impala won't start if I jump starter

Is the security light on or flashing ?
The yellow wire goes from the key switch to the neutral safety switch, then to the starter. So bypassing the neutral safety would make the starter crank the engine, but would have nothing to do with the rest of the engine.

2000 chevy impala won't start but everything comes on

you have a shorted battery (have it tested) or there is a loose connection. A starter motor pulls a large amount of current when it engages, a loose conection or shorted battery will all the voltage away from the dash, lights etc.

Where is the starter located on a 2007 Chevy Impala? It just clicks when I turn it on and lights barely turn on and the air will turn on only when trying to jump the battery. Engine didn't turn on even...

Check the battery like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.
If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
Check that the battery cable plus post, goes to the starter, Minus post to a good ground, like the engine.
If wiring is ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection.
Problem is most likely the Solenoid or starting relay, whichever the car uses.
Hope this helps.

07 chevy impala wont start ain't the battery wont even start when being jump

starter pinion may be jammed hit on it with a block of wood when some else tries to start it...this will usually only work one time but it"ll prove that you have a bad starter solenoid. make sure also that you try nuetrla position when trying to start you might have a bad neutral saftey switch.
you can also make up a jumper with aligator clips and hook one end up to the pos battery and the other to the 12v position of the start will key is on this way if it starts then youll know that its a wiring issue maybe ignition switch.
