2004 saturn vue transmission automatic not switching right v6 3,5

The Saturn Vue came in the FWD and AWD models. As built, for the AWD to work you need the driveshaft. If you remove the rear drive shaft and fix it so there would be no leakage, you could easily drive the Vue as a FWD vehicle.

I think you have a transmission without dipstick
there a plug on transmission on top of right axle
engine running fill until fluid drop from the hole

As for the 1882, are you sure that's the right number?

If it has a four cylinder engine and it is an automatic, stay away from it. They used a variable "non-shifting" transmission in four cylinder models into 2005. They are known to fail and in most cases will stop moving altogether. If you don't feel it shifting while you are test driving, this is actually normal for that type of transmission.

If it is a V6 then there might be other issues not related to the transmission.

i own a 2003 vue. it happened to me and finally the tranny went. it was a sealed transmission(cvt)do you have a dipstick to check your transmission fluid.if you dont, get saturn to look at it.a new one is 6000.00.Just hope you have a warranty.

How do i check the transmission fluid in 04 awd v6 auto

is it a vti trans,,,if so dont mess with it take it to the dealer, if its not drop the pan(messy) change the filter and put the pan up and fill it from the top plug, 7qts,the only way to drain the fluid is to drop the pan,,but if its vti dont do it, doesnt take regular fluid

take it to a 'jiffy lube' place and pay them to do it.Will probably cost $29.
