SOURCE: How to remove electric fan in a 1999 Chevy Cavalier

Make sure you don't have delco loc 2 or theftloc audio system before disconnecting the battery. You should be able to do this by contacting your local dealer and they run the vin and tell you.

disconnect battery

unplug connector from fan motor

remove bolts holding fan shroud to radiator

pull assembly up to dislodge the holding tabs then guide the assembly out from the car

make sure all wiring is unplugged

carefull not to contact the radiator fins they are sharp

remove the fan retaining bolt from the assembly

install is reverse

Hope this helps

SOURCE: engine 1 fuse keeps blowing when you turn the key

Engine 1 fuse powers the computer and some sensors. I had this same problem on a 98 chevy van 3500 and found the wire going to one of the oxygen sensors had shorted out on the heat shield. Inspect the wires going to all of the oxygen sensors. On this van one of the oxygen sensors on the driverside the wire was laying on the heat shield which eventually rubbed through the wire and shorted it out blowing the fuse. Your short could be on a different sensor but check all of the oxygen sensors because the wire runs so close to the sharp heat shield.

SOURCE: ford f350 diesel truck 30 amp fuse keeps blowing.

It is the fuel heater, All you have to do is unplug it.a4c0d50.gif

Testimonial: "Thanks for the diagnosis. It's disappointing that our local Ford service will not advise to help get it running, even to make it in for service."

Start with fuel system. Listen for fuel pump humm at fuel tank No humm check wiring to pump for power. Then check for spark at plugs and wires. Remove wire from coil and hold near engine and see arch when you crank. No arch. Replace ignition Modular inside distributor cap or cap or rotor

My 07 Chevy express van 3500 6.0 engine, we had the AC compressor replaced. It stopped blowing, replaced the resistor and blower motor. AC keeps blowing the 20 amp fuse under the drivers seat!

Insure that the 20 amp fuse is the correct size. Might it be shown to use a 30? Otherwise, when compressor was replaced, was drier, orifice tube replaced and proper amount of oil added?

1999 chevrolet express van keeps blowing out 40 amp fuse and wont start

sounds like you have a direct short in your starter, if you remove the starter you can take it to any Napa or auto parts store to have it bench checked, be sure and disconnect the battery cables first , and call ahead to your local parts store to see if they can do it,, Most do this for free, so check around

2002 chevy van 2500 when i turn key to start van

Fuses only blow if-Old,Overheated or you have a Short circuit.
That should be any easy fix,to the extent that there aren't many 40 Amp Fuses and you will need a wiring diagram to follow the problem from the fuse to the cause. If you know what fuse it is, you can guess, but I wouldn't recommend that,it will be time consuming and maybe costly ,if you don't have a test procedure to follow and throw parts at it.
Don't replace the fuse.Their expensive and will keep blowing.

The van won't start and it keeps blowing the 20 amp engine fuse when you try starting it.

Get under the car and check the starter. Ok really grab a hammer and hit the starter a couple times. Try starting it again. If it dont work you should replace the starter. The starter maybe pulling too much power from the battery trying to start the car. Good Luck!

1999 Chevy Venture 40 amp fuse keeps blowing when I try to start the van. This happened on three seperate days. I drove 150 miles and stopped the van. The could not start the van again. When I try to...

make sure of two things one is any wires touching at the starter to ground or melted and or is the starter drawing too much amperage causing the fuse to blow.starter may have a dead short in it.
