SOURCE: License plate lights do not work.

The licence plate lights are in the same line as your tail light wiring assembly. I assume your tail lights are working or you would have got a ticket for that. The wire is either cut, broken or unhooked from the tail light wires (which usually are brown). If you can not find the problem, you can always run a new wire to the tail light wire from your licence plate wire. Then they should work.
Your other problem is that the license plate ground is rusty & not grounding, which would also not let them work, so you should probably check that first. Rick

The license plate light should be on the same circuit with the tail lights.

License plate lights not working on pontiac 2006 vibe

can you check for 12vdc at the license plate connection? It may be more than just a fuse. Is there 12vdc at the power side of the fuse? This power supply issue may be related to the Emmission pump problem.

License plate lights arent working

You didn't forget to pull the headlight switch to check them? That's odd, usually license plate lights are spliced in from the tail light circuit.
There may be a separate ground for the license lights-if so, should be right nearby the bulbs. Use a test light or voltmeter and make sure fuse 22 has power. You could also check the sockets for power. If you have power to the socket and new bulbs don't work, it would be a grounding problem.

2003 mitshubisi montero sport fuse box i was wondering if the license plate lights on my truck have a fuse for them.

NO. it uses the same fuse as the tail lights. If the tail lights are working th efuse is good. The bulb is most likely burned out.

Neither of my license plate lights work on my 2006 Nissan Xterra.

it is most likley a wiring problem or the corosion, the license plate lights are tied to the tail lights.
