SOURCE: 1997 Toyota corolla - warning noise when lights left on - not working on drivers side!

The ground circuit for the driver side door switch is compromised, or the door switch is bad. Try this: Remove the black rubber cover from the door swich. Using a 10 millimeter wrench or socket, loosen & tighten the switch retention bolt. See if the dome light flickers. If so, the ground on the switch is bad, & just needs cleaned up. If not, remove the switch, and touch the wire behind the switch to the body,or the bolt hole. If the dome light lights, you need a door switch. Your problem is entirely in the door switch/ground/wiring. Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa.

SOURCE: 2003 Volkswagen Jetta Door Ajar Light wont turn off and car alarm

The problem you are experiencing is the drivers side interior light switch is not working. This is usually found in the door latch on later model cars and usually requires the complete latch mechanism changing. However it would pay to check that your car doesn't have a pin switch fitted in the pillar.Unfortunately I think you have the former.

Yaris minor problem after accident/repair, dome light, key and headlight warning sound

Some body in the workshop may have switched the theft deterrent system from active to passive mode during the scanning process.
The theft deterrent system has two arming modes;
Active and Passive. Active arming mode allows the
theft deterrent system to activate normally. Passive
arming mode is used for the servicing. The
intelligent tester allows the theft deterrent system to
switch between Active and Passive.
If the problem persists contact other qualified personnel.

My speaker that is for my onstar, backup warning and when my key is in the ignition and the door opens alarm is not working proerly. The sound is very low even though I have turned the volume all the way...

you have many problems in one question.
Let's start with
1. BACK UP Warning is it the backup lights not working.
2. When you open the driver's door does the inside lights turn on
maybe the system doesn't know the door is open or the little switch inside the steering column is open circuit.
3. Maybe the speaker itself defects or wiring touching metal ground
many questions that I cannot answer without more infos
hope it helps

Ignition alarm will not stop 97 ford f150

The key switch usually breaks or wears out and makes contact. It is on the lock cylinder. This would cause the chime to not come on, or stay on. Sounds like the switch is bad.

1997 F-150/250 Warning Chime, Key-In-Ignition The key-in-ignition chime warns that the key is still in the ignition when the driver's door is ajar. The key-in-ignition warning chime will sound when:
  • GEM: Driver door is ajar, the ignition switch is in the OFF/LOCK or ACC position and the keys are in the ignition.
  • CTM: Driver door is ajar, the ignition switch is in the OFF/LOCK, ACC or RUN position and the keys are in the ignition.
The key-in-ignition warning chime will stop sounding when:
  • Driver door is closed.
  • Key is removed from the ignition.
  • GEM: Ignition switch is switched to the RUN position.
The key-in-ignition warning chime inputs are:
  • Ignition switch RUN position (battery potential on both RUN and RUN/ACC inputs).
  • Ignition switch ACC position (battery potential on RUN/ACC input only).
  • Key-in-ignition switch (grounded with key-in-ignition, open circuit with key-out).
  • LH door ajar switch (open circuit with door closed, grounded with door ajar).
This is a pic for a 98, could not find one for 97 which may be the older style which is more prone to break.

The alarm isnt working... car wont start, buttons wont work!

Just a possibility, but a discharged battery could be the culprit. Do the headlights come on brightly? Will the horn blow normally? A 'dead' battery will usually have enough power to illuminate LED warning lights, while not having enough current to operate the starter/door solenoids, etc. Have somebody test the battery voltage to be sure.
