SOURCE: 2006 Saturn Vue Transmission Fluid Check

Here you go..

Be sure that transmission fluid temperature is at least 104° F (40° C). Models with 2.2L engine: To access check/fill plug: In the engine compartment, remove clamp from air hose behind cooling fan. Separate air tube from the hose and push the tube back towards the transaxle. Remove the clip holding the two power steering lines together. All Models: From underneath vehicle remove the transaxle check/fill plug with engine running. Fluid level should be even with hole. Add fluid as needed until fluid flows from hole. Replace check/fill plug and torque to 9 ft. lbs. (12 Nm).

SOURCE: 2003 Saturn Vue WHERE IS THE TRANSMISSION FLUID REFILL

If it is a 2.2 Auto it has a VT25E Trans,A really bad experiment from G.M.There is no dipstick. The only way to check it per service is to remove the center part of the main drain plug while running in park,if fluid drains or trickles out they say it's full. You probally have other Issues inside the trans.Check your mileage they have a special coverage period for this Trans through Saturn Dealer!! They May cover it or do a partial coverage for you.Hope this helps

Absolutely if it is an automatic transmission. You do need to use the right type for your product. If you do not change oil yourself, the lube shop should check the trans with each oil change while they do the rest of the work.

95chev2500 i only have reverse in 4 l and when shifts to 3rd it is like it goes into neutral

It sounds like you may be experiencing transmission issues with your 1995 Chevrolet 2500. Here are a few possible causes for the symptoms you described:
  1. Low transmission fluid: Check the fluid level and condition of the transmission fluid. Low or dirty fluid can cause problems with shifting and may cause the transmission to slip.
  2. Transmission filter: A clogged or dirty transmission filter can also cause issues with shifting and slipping. Replace the filter and see if that improves the situation.
  3. Shift solenoid: The shift solenoid controls the flow of fluid to the transmission and can wear out or become damaged over time. If the solenoid is faulty, it can cause problems with shifting.
  4. Valve body: The valve body is responsible for controlling the flow of fluid to the transmission and can also become worn or damaged. This can cause issues with shifting and slipping.
It is recommended to have a certified mechanic diagnose and repair the issue as transmission problems can be complex and require specialized tools and knowledge to fix.

Reverse went out and no overdrive 1996 Chevy Silverado

  1. ransmission fluid: Low or dirty transmission fluid can cause a range of transmission issues, including loss of reverse and overdrive. Check the transmission fluid level and condition, and consider flushing and replacing the fluid if it is dirty or low.
  2. Transmission filter: A clogged transmission filter can restrict the flow of fluid through the transmission and cause issues with reverse and overdrive. Consider replacing the transmission filter and flushing the fluid to see if this resolves the issue.
  3. Shift solenoid: The shift solenoid is responsible for controlling the flow of fluid through the transmission to engage different gears. If the solenoid is faulty or damaged, it can cause issues with reverse and overdrive. Consider having the shift solenoid tested and replaced if necessary.
  4. Valve body: The valve body is a complex component within the transmission that helps to control the flow of fluid and engage different gears. If the valve body is damaged or worn, it can cause issues with reverse and overdrive. Consider having the valve body inspected and replaced if necessary.
  5. Internal transmission damage: If none of the above issues resolve the problem, there may be internal damage within the transmission that is causing the loss of reverse and overdrive. In this case, it may be necessary to have the transmission rebuilt or replaced.
It's important to address these issues promptly to prevent further damage to the transmission or other components in your Chevy Silverado

My 1995 Eddie Bauer starts but won't move it's an automatic

-Check the shift linkage cable to the shift arm at the transmission.
Is it still connect good? If so, check transmission fluid. (Must be full to indicator level when it's hot while the engine is still running.)
Automatic transmission can't run without fluid.

Good luck

Where do i put transmission fluid in my 2006 Saturn Vue?

If you have no leaks dont worry about it. Just get it serviced if its time. Alot of cars are this way now. You need to be under the car to drain and fill. My BMW is this way

When the engine gets warm the transmission doesn't shift properly

have u had the trans serviced every 60,000 miles? this would be a fluid and filter change. Dirty trans fluid can cause these kinds of problems, it can also be caused by a sticky shift solenoid (transmission is electronically controlled), do u have a check engine light or ay trouble code's? go to Kragen or Autozone and ask then to run a trouble code test, it's free, record any codes and post them back here.

When the engine gets warm the transmission doesn't shift properly

have you replaced the fluid and filter? sometimes if the filter is clogged all of the fluid will stay on top of it instead of settling back into the pan. so when you run it it stays on top then you shut it off and it will slowly drain back to the bottom so its good for a little while until all the fluid is stuck over the filter again.
