My rocam was doing the same , everytime the robot gets green I started with jerks and then it smoothens as it peaks up the speed. The problem was a head gasket, as you drive, pressurized goes into one of the champers. Before you remove the head, remove all the plugs and check if one of them has got a brownish colour that looks like a burning rust, obviously they must be cream white sort of. Then your are good to go
Check for air leaks in the induction system

This sounds like your transmission is slipping. When it slips you will lose power when it catches back that's when you get the ****. Hope this helps.
Sounds like you have a vacuum leak and when you accelerate it's sacking to much air the egr valve can cause this also
If it's got a crank sensor I'd be starting there as if the crank sensor not working then no spark. Test the wires etc
