Bad shakes. I know of nothing other than suspension / wheel issues that will cause this. Since this is an auction car, try looking up the service history for your VIN number online. That would tell you of significant damage in the car's past.
Take the car to a tire store and have the wheels balanced. If the tech's can do this without problem, then the tires and wheels are probably fine, on to suspension. Take the car to a body shop and have them check the frame and suspension components. Checking should be cheap, it is fixing that costs.

You probably have way too much unburned fuel in your exhaust system (how's your mileage?) or possibly a failed oxygen sensor that is giving false information to the computer.
SOURCE: I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu Maxx. It has a TC
i think it stands for traction control. most cars with that say ETC which stands for electronic traction control. if you have a manual for the car it should say what it is.

Cooling system should be pressure tested to find leaks. If leak is not external, look for intake manifold gaskets leaking coolant into the cylinders. Make sure you fill at the radiator as well as the plastic reservoir. Low heat from the heater is the first sign of low engine coolant
