What is the legth of a chevy s10 steering colume

It should be Ok as long as the Replacement has the Same connections as the Old one.

Yes they will interchange, the parts for each are the same part numbers..

LOOk on the top of the steering box in the middle there is a stud with a nut threaded onto it this is the adjustmemt for steering wheel play . Loosen the nut and take a stright head screw driver put it in the slot in the stud and turn it in . rembember you should have an inch or so free play in the steering wheel this will tighten it up then tighten the nut back down
