SOURCE: 2008 Mitsubishi Triton ute ,colour white
I've solved the problem.Went to my local auto parts shop.
Thanks anyway
SOURCE: White smoke heavy when started and then goes away
Depends on how much smoke. A little puff
that goes away quickly is no cause for concern the flat six engine does get oil deposits under the piston skirt when parked and is considered
normal.
Excessive smoke (fogging for mosquites)
indicates a failed oil \ air separator. Confirm by removing the oil fill
cap with the engine running - if the vacuum tries to **** your hand
into the oil tube, your separator is a goner.
Not excessively difficult to replace yourself. The part is about $300
and you can replace it in a couple of hours, it is located at the rear
of the engine, passenger side, top.
SOURCE: my ford focus tdci 1.6 starts with alot of white
interior engine problem most probably head gasket, sorry
SOURCE: white smoke when starting the engine. the engine
This is fine, the smoke is caused by oil flowing pass the piston rings when the engine is shutdown. its not an issue
SOURCE: rough idle dies and white smokes
start by doing a compression test, could be a bad head gasket. i assume its a typical mid 80's carburator with a mess of vacuum lines. so you dont have to worry about trouble codes or a mess of sensors to throw parts at. since you just did a tune up i would check the distributor hold down and make sure you got it tight the that it didnt walk out of time on you some. typically white smoke usually means either a bad cat or water getting in the motor. less likely but probable is the choke is stuck on. hope this helps, good luck!
