Ive posted on here before but i need to narrow down the possibalitys. My car is a 99 accord coupe with a lil 4 cylinder and it has a stalling problem. From what ive been noticing it will stall out after i run it turn it off and turn it back on. Some times itll just stall right after the car is turned on and start pretty much back up but others it will stall when im driving and ill have to let it sit for like 2-5 minutes. when it stall out it wont respond to pushing the gas at all. When it stall out no matter how the radio will still be on and all the light on the dash will come on. Ive replaced the spark plugs the pvc valuve and put fuel injector cleaner in. Id like to narrow it down before i take it into the shop again. the last two time the honda dealer couldnt find anything wrong and couldnt replicate it.
I had same problem and it was in the ignition ignition switch. Just shake the key while the car is idling and see if it cuts off. If so its really easy to change its a round white plastic piece with a short wiring harness on the left side of the steering column.
Please check your service record on when was the last fuel filter and fuel pump change.
Keep a record and see when the car is stilling.
A weak fuel pump like to fail when it's hot 90+ F or when the fuel is low.
The combination of this two factor and an old fuel filter will give you fuel delivery problem.
==
Right down the line is the fuel pump relay.
==
Don't over look it.
If you have a DVM meter then check for the voltage pin out for power to the fuel pump.
==
Is the an alarm in the picture? An ignition disable relay can also give you the same symptom. Contact the alarm profession who installed the alarm and go from there.
===
Keep the tank above 1/2 tank to rule out a weak fuel pump.

The electrical portion Ignition switch can be failing. Test it while your car is park on the drive way.
Tap and move the electrical portion of the ign. and see does it cut out.
I hope you can ran though these small tests and start monitor WHEN it's failing.
Please post your findings and I will follow up on it.
Good luck.

it doesnt matter what tempature it is.. at first it would only stall out in the rain and when it was stopped but after awhile it happend while i was driving and in any weather. It seems to be failing after i drive it around and let it sit then turn the car back on again. thats the only connection i can make.
