SOURCE: 04 Nissan maxima tail lights dont come on till car warms up seems worse when it's really cold out. Thought headlight switch but not sure. When they start working they seem to work fine

I think the headlight switch is the most likely problem here.

How do i fix a 1997 nissan maxima taillights. i have no tell lights and not the fuse?

If you have no lights period I would check the wiring. If it's not the fuses (Under hood and inside). Just the brake lights check the brake switch under brake pedal.
Some Nissan's have a unit between the wiring that goes out. Trace the wires from the tail lights It would be in the trunk. Small black box.
Also check Maxima.org someone on there has the answer. ;Good luck.

04 nissan maxima tailight problem

I had the same problem, where the radio dash lights also goes out. All you have to do is go to the fuse box located on the passenger side of the car under the hood. It is the first fuse in the front of the fuse box it should be blue.(10 fuse) You can temp. replace it with a higher fuse if u have to, it will work the same.

When I turn my lights on my tail lights work but when I hit my brakes the don't light up I have a 2001 vw beetle????

the brake lights don't light up or the taillights don't light up? the brake lights are brighter than the tailights so the tailights won't show up whenbrakes are applied. if no lights work when brakes are applied then check for a bad ground at the light assembly.

Brake lights don't work. Bulbs, fuses and brake light switch all okay. Center brake light works and the running lighs work.

Filaments on actual bulbs might be burned out, pull the socket out from the back of the tailights and do a visual check on the bulbs, replace if needed...

Your catalitic convertor is plugging up. you need to replace it. Also you need to find out why it got that way. Could be bad vacuum lines. some sort of vacuum leak after the throttle body/ carb.

2000 maxima has erratic idle on cold days and will stall out on extremely cold days. Also, have noted antifreeze leak (on ground) on those really cold days. Car runs fine once it reaches normal operating...

It sounds like an engine temp sensor is open.. When your engine is cold or anti-freeze is cold your ECU or ECM gets a signal from the temp sensor for cold engine start. It would make sense that it works fine when hot because the resistance on the sensor is a lot lower. Take an ohm meter if you have one and check the resistance across the temp sensor pins. When the engine is cold the resisitance should be really high. Start and warm up your car to normal temp and check it again. It should be a lot lower now. If not replace it. Hope this helps.
