SOURCE: 09 Pontiac Torrent collant heater cord location

I believe it's a crankcase oil heater, and it is an option. If you ordered that option, it should be there under the hood. I'm not 100% sure, but if your vehicle does not have this option, you might be able to hasve one installed at the GM dealer

SOURCE: location of block heater cord on my 2003 chevy silverado

MIne was on the passenger side inside the wire loom next to the shock. You can get to it through the fender well. It just looked like a ball of tape and only the plug itself was exposed with the rest of it doubled back on itself inside the loom. It was actually long enough to stick out of the front of the truck.

SOURCE: how do I install an engine block heater on my 2005

Cat engine block heaters go in the soft plug on the side of the block. I get those at NAPA auto supply. They have a chart of what position it goes in according to your truck.

It's at the very back of the block, top-center, under the intake manifold.

2005 Chevy Avalanche. Where is the idle control valve located on the 2005 Avalanche please?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

It doesn't have one. Click this link, click on the Autozone link with the picture of one. One the site, add your year and engine, NONE comes up, it doesn't have one. There are no videos showing it for that model.

I have a Mazda CX7 2007 GT, I have a block heater in the car but the cord was pulled off when I drove with it still plugged in. I need to know where the block heater is so I can get a new cord.

There aren't many places to fit a cooling system heater in a stock engine, the classic method of fitting an aftermarket heater for cold climates is in a modified bottom radiator hose.

Where is the block heater cord located on my 2000 chevy blazer i can,t find it

Don't know if they all had one. Check side of the block below exhaust manifolds and if you find the heater in the block, trace back the cord to find the plug. The plug will likely be tied up in a bundle and tucked away very near the front of the truck, near the headlight.

My 2005 chevy avalanche only blows cold air until i drive then when I stop cold air Agian

One of two things has happened. Either your coolant has gotten really low (easy enough to check) or you heater core is starting to plug up.

Not sure what engine you have, most 4.8, 5.3, 6.0s are WAAAY back in the middle of the engine facing the drivers side, very difficult to get to.

New Truck Purchase: Avalanche or Tundra

If you liked the Options on the Old Truck, I would go with the 09. The Tundra is a GREAT Truck But, Will not have the Options that you Like on the Chevy. In Pro's and Con's---- The Tundra does have Better Service and a Better Warranty along with a LOT of Options FREE that you will pay Extra for on the Chevy. I have ALWAYS been Hard Core Chevy-- But, I Purchased a 2007 Scion Xa for my Wife (Toyota Built) and we have had NO Problems and there are NO Recalls and NO Customer Complaints! Just hope that the same goes for the Tundra. Chevy has had a Lot of issues and Recalls on a Lot of their Products But, I still love them! Bottom line is, Purchase what you like But, Do the Research Online first! Just type in Recalls for ............. and Search it.

Engine coolant heater cord plugin

the heating element is in 1 or 2 engine core plugs in the side of the engine block , kinda hard to see from on top but just follow the wire coming from it to the end of the cord , thats if your vehicle has the option of block heaters.
