It's possible the key fob alarm button is stuck or failed in alarm mode? I don't know how far but move key fobs a long way from the car to see if that is a possibility with the car locked. Disconnecting the battery may have added to the problem. Security thinks the car is vulnerable. Any other components removed? Have the error codes read by an autoparts store.
That may reveal a problem.

it could be your sensitivity on the alarm. some have shock and or vibration/ motion sensors. this is a common problem. a shop that does car alarms can confirm that, and its usually an easy fix.

Contact K9 directly and ask them if they could send you a user manual.

it's a simple problem because the alarm set button on the fob is where you grip to start the car. start the car, arm the alarm! just hold the front and back of fob not sides when turning it.

Check all your door switches by hand & see if one acts intermittently.

I had the same problem with the alarm, the radio, the dome light staying on the lights left on alarm not going off four trips to the GM dealer who refers to my 2004 cavalier as a "crapalier" I have spent hundreds trying to have this problem fixed and finally figured out a solution which is never ever again in my lifetime will I purchase a GM product and some adavan to caml myself in the knowledge that my tax dollars are going to help this worthless company out. Check your car battery. Many alarm systems during that mfg year relies on voltage sensors to trigger the alarm.. When a battery is old the standing voltage can vary enough to trigger the alarms resting voltage range.. keep in mind there are sensors in your seat too that is part of the seatbelt system that works on voltage. check both the battery and voltage sensor of the alarm
