Did you test the electrical circuit's ? Have a scan tool hooked up ? Did you have a qualified repair shop check it out ?
When the engine is running, the generator control signal is sent to the generator from the engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM), turning on the regulator. The generator's voltage regulator controls current to the rotor, thereby controlling the output voltage. The rotor current is proportional to the electrical pulse width supplied by the regulator. When the engine is started, the regulator senses generator rotation by detecting AC voltage at the stator through an internal wire. Once the engine is running, the regulator varies the field current by controlling the pulse width. This regulates the generator output voltage for proper battery charging and electrical system operation. The generator F terminal is connected internally to the voltage regulator and externally to the PCM. When the voltage regulator detects a charging system problem, it grounds this circuit to signal the PCM that a problem exists. The PCM monitors the generator field duty cycle signal circuit. The system voltage sense circuit receives B+ voltage that is Hot At All Times through the ECM/TCM fuse in the underhood junction block. This voltage is used by the regulator as the reference for system voltage control.
This vehicle uses Class II and controller area network (CAN) communications. The ECM/PCM are CAN and the body controller systems are Class II. The body control module (BCM) acts as the gateway between the different communication protocols. The ECM/PCM requests the battery lamp on the CAN communication line and then the BCM sends a request to the IPC for lamp illumination.
The ECM/PCM will request the battery lamp on under the following conditions:
• The ECM/PCM interprets the ignition is in the accessory position.
• The ECM/PCM is in the RUN power mode with the engine not running.
• Generator L terminal fault has been detected.
• Generator F terminal fault has been detected.
If the generator is not charging, it pulls the F terminal low causing an F terminal fault. Low voltage threshold is 10.5 volts for 4 minutes and engine at least 1,300 RPM. High threshold is 18 volts for 5 minutes.

SOURCE: Remove oil pan from 2007 Saturn Hybrid Vue

Believe it or not, it is a VERY simple task. Take a flat-tipped screwdriver and tap in between the motor and oil pan. All automotive books say the SAME thing. This is regular practice and will NOT damage anything. You have to pry the pan off. If it is adhered this good....make double sure you clean both surfaces off before re-applying the new pan gasket. A scraper (has a razor blade on the end of a handle) will help the clean the block surface.

One thing to remember, once you get the gasket sealant oneither the block or the pan, let it set till it is tacky. Then, as you put the pan back up, work a cross pattern to install the bolts and only start them finger tight. Once you have all the bolts on, tighten then again in a criss cross pattern and try not to overtighten them until you have them all snugged down. Then tighten them to specs. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!!! You gasket will start to "seep" out and then you will have to repeat the process for a leaking oil pan.

If you need more info, post a comment again.

SOURCE: 2007 Vue hybrid. 12-volt battery dead? No electric

If the battery is completely dead a trickle charge won't do much. These are designed to keep a good battery good. You need a regular battery charger set to 10 amps for a couple hours then 2 amps overnight. Be aware that sometimes if your battery has been completely killed it may not work for long, that is your car will start but within a few days or hours it will leave you stranded. You'll know because it will drag when you try to start it. Sometimes you get lucky and it works great for years.

Next time do use a trickle charger! Also if the charge you use is automatic then you can leave it hooked up in 2 amp mode when you are gone. Good luck!

Testimonial: "Thank you! Great advice. The tow truck man jumped it and said to leave it running in the driveway for 45 minutes. Did that and it behaved later. "

I have a 2007 Saturn Vue greenline. Came with a 5 year/100k mile warranty on hybrid components. Last summer the hybrid batteries were replaced under a recall. I now have error codes reporting problems with...

No Normally The 5 Year/1000k Warranty Is Exempt After That Duration. But If You Have Documentation Of The Battery Swap Due To The Recall It Should Have Been Recorded! You Would Have To Contact A GM Dealer To See If They Will Honor It !! I Hope This Help's As It Is Important To Keep All Receipts!!

Had an oil change at the GM dealership - now engine light on and no hybrid system - what did they do??? and how do theyfix it

this light will generate a fault code have the dealer run the test, there is a 70,000 mile warranty on most anything that truns this fault light on. It is not the oil change.

2007 Saturn VUE Green Line recommendation

Our family has owned Saturns since 1992. They've always been reliable out-performers, until the most recent one. I took delivery of my 2007 Hybrid Vue on 31 May, 2007. From the first tankful of gas, the mileage has been woefully short of the projections - worst case was 19 and best was 32 on the freeway at 70 mph and no air conditioning. Most recently, I drove the Vue down I-95 in Florida at around 70 and no A/C. Mileage? 28. Do the math. That's about 3 mpg better than my first Vue would have gotten. At $3 a gallon, it'll take me approximately 233,000 miles to recoup the $3000 premium I paid for the car. If you live in a climate where air conditioning is not a means of survival in the summer, then this car might be OK.
