SOURCE: need to locate toyota aurion/camry iac valve

the MAF sensor is between the air filter and throttle body. the idle controll is at the throttle body.  Its located on the throttle body on the left side. Follow the air intake to an intake manifold which sits on top of the throttle body.

Hydraulic lifters? I have been racking my brains for this one. Lifters will sometimes pump up when cold and then lose pressure as they get worked. Would explain why your camshaft died. Suggest you look at old camshaft, see the cams that were worn and replace those lifters. Only thing I can come up with!

SOURCE: IAC control valve. Locato\ion 2002 ford escape

If it's not idling and has problems starting, it's probably the IAC motor. It's located on the throttle body. Follow the airfilter box all the way to the engine, where the rubber flex hose attaches. The throttle body should be the first aluminum part you come to. Attached to the side you'll find small little aluminum part with a small wire harness attached. Unplug it, take the IAC motor off and clean inside with carb cleaner. This should fix the problem with the idle.

SOURCE: Iac valve

The 04-08 MY F-150 do not have a IAC with throttle by wire.

The PCM operated the intake butterfly with a small stepper motor for both normal acceleration and to keep enough air in the system to allow the truck to idle correctly.

disconnect your MAF sensor and turn it on and see if it runs with out stalling. if it does, replace your MAF sensor, do not run your vehicle without it.

Automatic vehicle stalls at low rpm

This is proplem with the IAC valve , try clean the valve and if that doesnt work replace it.

An IAC (idle air control) motor is designed to adjust the engine idle RPM speed by opening and closing an air bypass passage inside the throttle body

Thanks

My car has eratic idle and acceleration jerking. It is a 2005 landrover freelander with 52,000 miles. Automatic transmission with a 2.5L engine.

It could be a few things. The EGR, IAC, TP sensor, vacuum leak, MAF sensor, air filter, bad ground to engine. Is the engine light on? If so were any codes retreived from it? What have you done or looked at so far?
