We plugged up the the fittings on the sides of the radiator where the oil cooler connects and ran it directly to the oil cooler, so we bypassed the lines to the radiator. Now that we went out to start it all the oil drianed out from from small rubber hose that connects to the oil cooler, which makes no sense because that is the line that was used to connect the auxiliary oil cooler to the radiator in the first place. So we just want to get rid of the oil cooler all together,is that possible Can I bypass the oil cooler lines that connect to the radiator and just go straight from the engine to the cooler? Instead of from the engine to the radiator to the oil cooler. we want to to eliminate the oil cooler all together,is that possible Is my question. PLEASE HELP!! I'm starting to lose my mind because of this car
The oil cooler was put there by the manufacture for a reason. The best course of action is to properly repair the vehicle so it works as designed.
Did you use barbed fittings? You can do whatever you want its your car.
