OK all...so I have a 2003 Saturn Ion 2 that started misfiring and bucking/sputtering, hooked it up to the reader and it gave the following codes: P0200 injector circuit, P0270 cylinder 4 injector circuit low, P0300 random misfire and P0304 cylinder 4 misfire. The following items have been replaced, the coil pack, the ICM, all 4 spark plugs, all 4 injectors and the fuel filter. The throttle body was cleaned, the timing belt was inspected showing no wear to the belt or disks, the PCM/EC was tested functioning normal and the wire harness from the PCM to the injectors was tested, there was a break or disconnect in one of the wires to the 4th injector, which has been hard wired fixed. The engine is no longer misfiring but there is a definite issue with something involving the exhaust but now I am getting the codes P1779 Engine Torque Delivered To TCM Signal and P0341B Camshaft Position Sensor...but this car does not have a camshaft position sensor and I am not sure where to even start on the P1779...any and all help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
SOURCE: 2002 saturn vue cylinder 1,3,5 misfiring when swapped coil pack it went away now cyl 2,6 misfiring.
having PO 304 = Misfire cylinder 4,PO 306 = Misfire cylinder 6, as I read above you have done the most. The thing that you have missed is to check whether the Catalytic Converter is faulty or not. To get an idea check whether you have a smell like rotten eggs at the end of the exhaust, you start having problems with cat and needs replacement. My advice before you go for a cat replacement is good to visit an MOT center and check your emissions and then you decide,
Testimonial: "I have been having this problem for a few months now and I have tried everything except install a new Cat. I had a feeling but wasn't sure until this guy mentioned it. He really knows his stuff. He pin pointed everything to a "T". You're a really good mechanic, my friend. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much. Your knowledge is highly recommended."
I don't think you really understand what this fault code means, it means that likely all the engine cylinders are misfiring at random no set pattern, not any particular cylinder. I would start with checking for engine vacuum leaks like the intake manifold gasket. that is all I can say since you provided no make, model or year and engine type and size information.
