Wiring hey ya could someone help me i want to hook up some aftermarket front speakers but don't know what wires to hook up to my aftermarket head unit

Might be able to get an adaptor that plugs straight in painlessly.
Failing that it's the standard trace and identify method that eats time like crazy.

wires for speakers are paired and smaller wires. if you touch the ends of the wires to a aa battery the speaker hooked to them will buzz and this does not damage the speaker

The easiest way is to check around the battery for after-market wiring. If there's no aftermarket stuff hooked up to the battery, someone may have forgotten to re-hook it back up, and it may have fallen to the side of the battery.

The other option is to actually follow the wire, starting from the Visteon and going back. Look toward the trim around the windshield. The installers were headed for the battery, so head to whichever side your battery is on. Remove the trim for a better look if necessary. OEM harnesses are usually encased in black plastic or tape, so the after market wires should stand out. Follow them to the engine compartment.

Be aware of correct polarity when hooking the wires up! The wire with the fuse in-line will be the positive (+) one.

If you bought a wiring adapter kit for the aftermarket stereo, the unit should hook up directly to the stock bose system. Note: If there is sound coming from the speakers after installation, the amp IS hooked up...the speaker wiring is routed to the factory amplifier, not the stereo itself, the stereo wiring is just signal leads to the amplifier. In some instances, you may have to connect the amp remote wire to the remote wire coming from the aftermarket stereo(blue wire). I hope this helps. Any other questions, just reply.

there is no amplifier. you just need to find the memory wire that is hot all the time and the 2 wires that are hot with the key on. One is for radio operation and the other is for antenna operation. The speaker power is supplied through the fader switch in the center console and the switch is powered by the head unit. Just hook up your circuit 30 and your 2 circuit 15 with a ground and run you speaker wires to the head unit or if you are installing an amp from the wires from the fader switch. That switch can be popped out with a flat blade screw driver, Hopefully i have been helpful

Either the balance is off on the head unit, or the the out puts (in the head unit) for the rear speakers are blown.

I work at a Chrysler Jeep dealer and sell parts, and I'm sorry to tell you but this is a little problem we have run into many times with these vehicles. The factory speakers are **** and of course we have no wiring diagrams showing how to install aftermarket speakers without replacing the head unit with an aftermarket one. I just had to do this with my Mitsubishi Galant when I bought some Focal component speakers for my doors. I went with the Alpine radio and it seems very nice and I think it will do great for your speakers also. Hope this helped.

depending on the type of line out converter that you have you simply just take the speaker wires coming from the head unit (you must know the color codes for the wires or you can do the process of elimination by pulling off the door panels and and viewing the colors and matching them at the wire harness behind the head unit). Pull out electric fuse for radio so you dont blow it while hooking up the wires. After you have done that just connect the speaker wires coming out of the head unit to the line out converter this will pre-amp your signal. After you have done that step on the other side of the loc you will have to connect and run rca audio cables to the back of your car to hook into your amplifier. The last step is to splice the power and ground wire coming from the wire harness and connect the radio power wire and loc power wire to the main power wire and then connect the radio ground wire and the loc ground wire to the main ground wire. Test and your done with the loc.
