I have the code for my 1990 190e which is 36622 but there's only 1-5 for the presets. What do I push to enter the 6's?

The numbers on the radio screen after pressing 1 & 6 are the serial number to retrieve the radio code!

The 4 digit number on the glovebox is probably the radio code, keep pressing preset number 1 until the first number is on the screen, then press preset number 2 until the second number is on the screen, then press preset number 3 until the third number is on the screen, then press preset number 4 until the fourth number is on the screen!

come on here for free ,anyway you press preset 1 and use either the volume or tuning buttons ,maybe even the tape buttons to place the number then when all numbers press 6 to enter the code on the venerable old classic vehicle

Code is in numbers. Look at preset buttons on the radio. They are numbered 1-6. Turn on car key, enter code #'s on preset buttons. This must be done 5 or 6 times in a row, till the radio unlocks. This is for anit-theft purposes.

I think after you enter code you have to push last preset #6

either the radio code is wrong or you have locked the radio down you only have three attempts to enter the correct code if this is the case disconnect thenegative battery cable for 10 minutes then reconnect and try again. If the code is wrong the audio unit will have to be removed so you can get the serial number to give to the honda dealership so they can get the correct code

turn the radio off push preset buttons 1 &6 while holding these buttons turn on the radio the serial# will come up call the dealer with this # they should give you the radio code if you have a problem write back i can get it for you if you have error on the radio then disconnect the battery cable neg for aprx. 30 seconds reconnect the enter the code using your preset buttons
