Hours of reading blogs; none show my symptoms: SAAB 95, 2005 Arc. Hiccup/hesitation/stumble when's engine warm to hot, any speed.
No miss under load or acceleration. Hiccup/hesitation when on level or downhill, slight roughness at no load on level road. Gas mileage good. No loss of power under load. New DIC & plugs. Replaced 2 vacuum hoses & one vacuum check valve (replaced cv from TB (to PVC?) but has smaller diameter inlet/outlet pipes). Quick starts, good idle,...all fine until engine warms.

Are you talking about a go-cart, or a motorcycle, or a tractor-trailer 18 wheeler? Then OF COURSE, you must IDENTIFY the MAKE, the MODEL, and the YEAR of whatever vehicle you are asking about, if you want any REAL help!
Sorry to read about your Saab story. You have my sympathy... and here is a link for you! https://www.google.com/search?newwindow=...Sorry to read about your Saab story. You have my sympathy... and here is a link for you!

Check engine light does not have to come on unless the misfire monitor reaches a certain count. There it will pend a misfire code, and who know what code you get may just tell you P0300 random misfire,we know its misfiring .But we got the symptoms, The 2.2 is sensitive to water in the fuel system when you change the fuel filter were you able to get a sample of at least some.Where the ignition coil sits do you hear any arc at idle(in park) that can tell you you will need sparkplug wires. you can also use a spray bottle of water and spry it on the wire.see if that exposes any arc from the sparkplug wire. The fuel pressure on the 2.2 has to be 56-62 psi. This is the necessary pressure. Also the TPS can cause you to stumble intermittently and this is a common failure on the 2.2 engines
Could you explain this a little better ,
hesitates at tip in after you first start it when warm > hesitates at tip in ???? plus after first you first start it when warm . What's warm ? the engine ? The temperature out side ? Or after you had it running an shut it off an restart the vehicle ? The engine temp. is warm , hot etc.... cooling fans working , vapor lock ?
A P0306 code means that the car's computer has detected that one of the engine's cylinders is not firing properly. In this case it's cylinder #6. Symptoms may include: the engine may be harder to start the engine may stumble / stumble, and/or hesitate other symptoms may also be present Causes A code P0306 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: Faulty spark plug or wire Faulty coil (pack) Faulty oxygen sensor(s) Faulty fuel injector Burned exhaust valve Faulty catalytic converter(s) Running out of fuel Poor compression Defective computer If there are no symptoms, the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.
man read this and u will know what is ur problem and how to fix it
P0300 Code - Random Misfire
What does that mean?
A P0300 OBD DTC code indicates a random or multiple misfire. If the last digit is a number other than zero, it corresponds to the cylinder number that is misfiring. A P0302 code, for example, would tell you cylinder number two is misfiring. Unfortunately, a P0300 doesn't tell you specifically which cylinder(s) is/are mis-firing, nor why. Symptoms may include:
the engine may be harder to start
the engine may stumble / stumble, and/or hesitate
other symptoms may also be present
CausesA code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Faulty spark plugs or wires
Faulty coil (pack)
Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
Faulty fuel injector(s)
Burned exhaust valve
Faulty catalytic converter(s)
Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
Faulty camshaft position sensor
Defective computer

If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors. Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another (read: P030x codes) also will set a P0300 code. The underlying cause is often a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak in the intake manifold or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is stuck open.
P0302 Code - Cylinder #2 Misfire
What does that mean? A P0302 code means that the the car's computer has detected that one of the engine's cylinders is not firing properly. In this case it's cylinder #2

the engine may be harder to start

If it has miss and hesitation only warm not cold you may have a coolant temp sensor problem . but if the service engine soon light is off i would chek ignition system(plugs, wires ,boots).most likely one of the cylinders missfires when hot.
The charging system, pedal, and sensors have been checked. The trans. problem and missing problems were the original problems and when my mechanic finally sent me to Chev. none of the problems " choose to show themselves." I should know on Mon. if my mechanic has solved the problems with the greater number of symptoms. Keep me in your files. More later- Bill
