1995 k2500 chev pu did tune up it started ran for 15 min i turned it off and now will not start. Put new fuel pump rekay fuse in. Still does not start. Cranks but will not start. Any ideas?

If you put fuel directly into the throttle body does it start. Did you change the fuel filter with the new fuel pump. If all of that is ok it sounds like you may have a plugged catalic converter screen. If you remove the o2 sensor ahead of the cat and muffler it should start and run if the cat is plugged. Hope this helps.

I have a 98 Chevy blazor 4.3 4x4 it has no power and sputters change fuel filter, mass air sensor,o2 sensor, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, module on desributer check fuel pump psi at 55 to 57 the only code random...

Pull the distributor. Check the gear on the bottom of it. Replace a bunch of them for wear. Causes no power and bad timing. Depending on wear. Replace the gear or the distributor.

2006 Dodge Stratus Noises

It sounds like you have a new old car!!! Noises could be so many things, but since you mentioned you had a muffler replaced, my first suggestion would be the exhaust pipe or new muffler is too close to a frame or out of line. Put car up high enough to where you can roll all around the undercarriage. Start the car and let it idle while you roll around looking and listening, and you will have a 90% chance of isolating your annoying rattle. Good luck!

1988 chevy S10 turns over but won't start getting spark put in new fuel pump, cpu and injector. If I pour A little gas in throttle body hole it will fire for a few sec. fueses all test good.

Hello, just had this problem myself. Check your EGR valve by pulling the vacume line off and pushing up under the valve put your finger over the vacume line hole and release the valve, if it returns to normal position then its bad if not its good. If its bad it needs replaced. Mine did the exact same thing and thats what it was. Hope this helps

Difficult to start up sounds sluggish, once shut off, won't start, coil was hot (coil recently replaced). Needs new muffler.

Replace spark plugs with new ones. put new muffler in. The muffler has an affect on the way engine runs. (back pressure) is needed. At this age you may need a head gasket(s). Compression check on all cylinders. The list goes on... Good luck

How do you change the water pump on a 1998 buick skylark?

Hi This is d_hubbs: Removal and replacement of your water pump.I'm assuming you have a 2.5 Engine. You did'nt give your engine Information but about 75% of your Year and Model had the 2.5 in them.
1st start by disconnecting your negative cable on your Battery. Then Drain your Coolant into a Container: then remove your drive belts remove your fan from the water pump: You probally should also remove your alternator and A/C Compressor to make it easier to get to your water pump, now remove your lower Radiator Hose, then remove your water pump mounting bolts, now remove the water pump: Now Clean the water pump surface on your engine where your gasket will be. Besure its Clean Good : NOTE: Sometimes if you purchase a New water pump it will not have the drive belt pulley on it. if this is the case Remove your Pulley from your old Pump and install it on your New pump : now Run some gasket sealer on your new water pump where the gasket will go.put gasket on the new pump lining up your mounting bolt holes.also put a small bead of sealer on the engine where your water pump will mount: now Mount your New water pump to the engine with the Mounting Bolts.Torque the Mounting bolts at 25-30 Foot Lbs.
Inspect your Drive belts and Hoses its a good time to put new ones on if needed. Now put your lower Hose back on-re-install your A/C compressor and Alternator-Put your fan back on-now put All your Drive belts back on be sure to Adjust the Belt Tension and Lock down the Bolts.-Fill your Radiator back up with coolant,If the Fluid you took out is still fairly new ,you can use it. If its Aged best off putting new Coolant. Replace the Battey Cable Start your Car and Check for any Leaks , After your Thermastat opens you'll need to recheck your Coolant Level. if no Leaks and Cooling System is Full you Are Done. Please let me know how my advice and Solutions have Helped you. Thanks for Using FIXYA From d_hubbs
