put a clean cardboard sheet under the vehicle and keep an eye out for where the leak falls from.. follow up from that spot until you see the fluid itself..sometimes its hard to see but if you use a strong flashlight you may see better..it will look brownish or brownish-red in color..if its black then its motor oil...if its clearer then it may be brake fluid or power steering..

first have you checked the fluid level? are there any codes? does the transmission shift good in other gears?

YOU'LL NEED 10 QUARTS (20 PINTS) OF THE RECOMMENDED TRANS FLUID! WAL-MART HAS A COMPUTER CATALOG AT THE OIL DEPT, THAT CAN TELL YOU WHAT TYPE! OR CALL AUTOZONE, FOR TYPE RECOMMENDED FOR THE QUEST!

Check with your local auto parts store...Napa, Car-Quest, O'Reilly's, etc. They can tell you exactly what kind of fluid it needs, and how much. (I believe it's something like 9.5 quarts)

Section 9 page 7...Looks like 80w90 gear oil for the manual transmission. The sure make it hard to find in the manual, but it is there.
