SOURCE: 2005 ford taurus. Remote entry wont work theft light keeps blinking when key is engaged

HI, I'm reading your problem,
Let me explain something about your car.

2005 Ford Taurus, The key on that car has Chip inside of the key and receiver on the ignition switch,
Check if the key you are trying to use is Black and has a plastic head.
If not you need a key with that characteristics.
But if you have the right key, Remenber if you had drop on the floor, or hit with something,
Because some times they come damaged, with insignificat thins.
Remenber if you left the key close to a magnets like speakers.

If nothing aply at your case, you need to call a place Aloha Smith, they have the computer to program or reprogarm your key. IF not you can't start your car.

OK.. I hope this information work for you.

Thank's for submit yous question on fixya.com

SOURCE: abs , traction lights on

I took STEGG's advise and I checked the exciter rings on the axles and I found that one was cracked and loose on the passenger side rear axel. The truck went to ford and because of the information I had about the exciter ring the repair was compleated in two hours and they told me that they could only replace the exciter ring insted of the whole axel. Total Cost for repair.$296.00.
Thank You so much for the info STEGG.

SOURCE: I have a 2005 Ford five hundred and the

You need to have the transmission serviced. The wrench indicates that the fluid in your transmission is out of spec or you have an out of spec pressure condition.

SOURCE: 2005 ford f-150...4 wheel drive will not

Operationally vacuum holds the IWE ( Integrated Wheel Ends ) out, and once vac is removed the spring engages the IWE.

Lift and support the front of the truck so the front wheels are off the ground ( take safety precautions, chock wheels, jack stands, etc )
Key on, engage 4x4 and try to turn the front drive shaft.
If it turns it is a problem with the transfer case.
If it doesn't it is a front axle engagement problem.

- If the front drive shaft does not turn :
Shut of the truck ( still jacked up, and supported ) remove the vac lines from the IWE. The spring should push the gears in, without the vac line on.
Check the vent line ( tube that is routed into the engine compartment with nothing attached to it ), for blockages.
If the vent line is clear, and with the vac lines off the IWE should be engaged ( both front wheels locked ).
If they lock, the problem is with the IWE solenoid not shutting off vacuum to the IWEs. There is a TSB on the 2004-2006 IWE solenoids, a newer revision has been made, and used from 2007 and newer MYs.

Here is a block diagram of the IWE system

2005 ford freestyle, check engine, traction control, wrench light on got P0641 code replaced ecm didn't work any help

There is no such code for a 2005 Ford Freestyle. P0641 does not exist in the code chart. It goes from P0622 to P0645. Are you sure you wrote it down correctly?

05 ford freestyle cut off while driving and wouldnt start back. It started back after being jumped off. Im afraid it will happen again. The wrench lite, traction light came on before it stalled out

YOU must get the system tested for fault codes, this vehicle is fully computer controlled, that is the very first thing that must be done, this requires a scan tool or a code reader.

My 2005 Ford Freestyle inside lights wont go off

If it is an automatic light the electronics might have failed. The wiring could be quite complex and a wiring diagram could be useful.

It is worth checking all the door switches and possibly also the tailgate luggage space light operation that sometimes also switches on the cabin light.

When its cold in the morning 28 or so , when i start it , starts fine but it takes about 20 or 30 minutes before it will drive and shifts hard. the traction control lite and the wrench light comeon also...

You need to get up to speed education wise in a hurry
Those check light have been govt mandated and on vehicles for 30 years

You surely have heard of the diagnostic connector under the dash on the
    drivers side,required on all OBD2 Vehicles (1996 -2011)

Now you need to have a code reader or a scan tool, put on the connector
and check for the codes that set the traction and engine lights, on the dash

Using those codes, you proceed to diagnose and repair, the powertrain
    malfunctions.

You do not need to get to a dealer. They have nothing special to offer
