Take the car to your local Auto Zone and ask them to scan the vehicle for trouble codes, they will scan the vehicle at no charge to you. Write the codes down and respond back to this post and we can begin problem solving.
The codes will help to narrow the system down that is causing the problem.
You might want to make sure the battery cables are clean and tight. If one of the cables has an intermittant connection problem, it will cause the car to shut down.
