Both brake lights have failed at the same time! The rear windscreen light still works, what is the solution?

sounds like the brake switch, in front or back of brake pedal is bad or out of adjustment. If this is ok! check for a bad ground to rear tail lights. check brake light fuse first.

BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON WHEN CLUTCH IS DEPRESSED

The bracket that holds the pedals becomes loose sometimes, letting the brake move slightly when you press the clutch. Check for that movement, there is an adjustment for the brake switch, the switch is on the brake pedal under tha dash. It can be pushed in or out which ever is necessary to get the brake lights off.

2004 x-type jaguar stuck in park after tail light problem . Simple brake light replacement turned into a nightmare. Scared to have the car towed. Can,t afford to have a jaguar tech come out, We're screwed....

Check the brake light fuse. If you blew a fuse for a brake light, you won't have power to the shift interlock which allows you to move the shifter.

My 2002 jaguar s type interior lights wont work overhead or door where do i start?

I'm assuming you have checked all the obvious = bulbs/switches/fuse etc?
Can you switch the lights on manually ?
Is it the same if any door opened = no light?
If so =
the light timer/fader control may have failed.

Healdights go on and off when driving on the road.

Hi

You may have a problem with the lights control switch, I had a similar problem with lack of control and the switch was replaced = all okay.
Does the light switch feel 'definite' when moved from one position to another?

hope this helps.
