2004 jaguar x type security failed engine monitor or management failure. car wont crank.

Did you figure out what it was? It may be your key. Take it to a locksmith, or perhaps get it replaced.

in the mass fuse box, under the dash, unless you have the manual you will not beable to tell wich one it is.. get a chiltons repair manual or a haynes...

had same problem,and a no cruise message.ten minutes later no cruise message disappeared and cruise worked ok.When i got home was told to turn ignition on and off 5 or 6 times fast and you should hear a bell warning sound and management light was off.only had it reset the previous week due to o2 sensors so was a bit peeved,but the ignition trick did the job.

FULLY PRESS THE BUTTON THAT SAYS MODE AND THE CLOCK WILL FLASH PUT 24HR AND TYPE IN THE TIME THEN PRESS MODE AND WILL RESET

I have the same problem, the car will turn but will not start, I can hear the fuel pump not working and haved checked all the fuses, still dont know what else to check.
