SOURCE: Water is leaking into the

My 1990 Honda Accord does this too.
When I wash it or when it rains. If I open the trunk/deck lid water flows out of the right rear tail light housing into the trunk.

Solution: get some rubber gasket sealant and apply under the lower gasket around the rear window on each side at the corners. Allow for drying time. Close the trunk and try some water if this doesn't work you will likely have to replace the rear window seal.

Best of luck.

I don't have a key for the trunk and the trunk release lever is not working. How can I get the trunk open?

The rear seat backing will have to be removed to access the paneling and lock assembly to open if the lever/remote is non functioning. Sometimes banging with your fist just above the lock while someone operates the release lever will open the trunk

How to open 2005 honda accord trunk release not working

If release lever is not functional, use key. If key will not turn in cylinder, spray WD-40 into cylinder and use sawing motion to get key inserted and continue sawing motion to free up lock wafers internal to cylinder so it will turn with key. If this process is not effective, you will need to remove rear seat to access paneling to trunk lock and open accordinly

My Honda Accord latch is broken. I can not open the gas tank door and the trunk won't close. It has to be a problem in the latch because it controls both gas tank door and trunk door

emergency release should be in the trunk as for the closing of the trunk, you need to disconnect the cable at the trunk latch until you can get it fixed

Fuel door release brokern

If it is a lever it should be a cable. A button would be electric.
There may be an emergency release inside the trunk near the door.
It depends on what is damaged how it needs to be repaired.

2003 Honda Accord has broken trunk release; is there a way to open it manually; there is no keyhole.

Firs look if the trunk release is whit cable or electrical,if its whit cable,go to the knob trunk release, take off the necesery part you need to take off to have space and to get to the cable, that way you can pull the cable. If its electrical, look for a blown fuse,if there is no blown fuse, open the back seats, that way you have access to the trunk and you can open it,check the selenoid .

My trunk will not close

There is a possibility that the remote latch cable is stuck (lubrication is gone) . With a screwdriver, NOT the fingers, try to return manually the latch, to its open position (instead of the pull open position). If you push it too far, it will go into locked position, and when you pull down the trunk lid, it wont reach its normal closed position. In that case, pull the latch back open, with the remote lever. Should you manage to close the trunk properly, spray some WD40 or some lubricant on the latch assembly.

Fuel tank door release, 2004 Honda Civic

The release cable is sticking or broken. To release the fuel door, open the trunk and pull off the fabric liner on the left side of the trunk. Behind this liner is the fuel door release cable; this cable leads to the fuel door and attaches with a twist-lock connector. It is cylindrical with two tabs. Twist the connector clockwise about 90 degrees and it should pull out, releasing the door.

Just remember, the fuel door will not stay closed until you put the connector back in.

The fuel door release on 2003 Honda Accord is not working.

Open the trunk and pull back the drivers side liner inside of the trunk. You can follow the black cable to the fuel door. When you reach a black wing tipped connector you twist the 90 degrees and it will pop out and the door will open.
