I have replaced the brake pads and the caliper on the front driver side, but the brake does not release sometimes. At other times, the brake releases just fine.
Look for dark, burn marks on the rotor. If so replace the rotor
Sounds like a bad brake booster or faulty ABS system. Try doing a complete brake fluid flush starting from the right rear brake first, have a helper assistant pump up the brake pedal and hold it while you crack open the bleeder screw on the caliper until the helper pushes the Pedal almost all the way to the floor and holds it there until you tighten the bleeder screw so as to prevent air being sucked back into the line when the pedal is released. Bleed the lines until the fluid comes out clean and no bubbles are seen. Bleeding sequence is RR, LR, RF then LF last. Also grease the back of the brake pads and the slots the pads are held in by the caliper. If abs light is on have a shop pull the codes
Try bleeding some brake fluid on that side. You may have a blockage. Also check if the rotor is in good condition, it may be warped. Good luck!
