SOURCE: Code reader knock sensor where is it located

According to the Haynes manual it is under the intake manifold, Upper and lower intake manifolds must be removed for access. If you go to Auto Zone, they have the sensor and can give you the step by step instructions to replacing the knock sensor with common tools. Good luck and hope this help.

SOURCE: where is a knock sensor for 2000 mercury villager

It is under the lower intake manifold in the valley of the engine. You must remove the cross over coolant tube to gain access to the knock sensor. It bolts into the cylinder head. Good luck

Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and safely support the front of the vehicle securely on jackstands.
  3. Disconnect the VSS electrical connector.
  4. Remove the VSS hold-down bracket bolt and remove the bracket.
  5. Remove the VSS from the vehicle.

My 2000 mercury villager 3.3 is misfiring on multiabil cyinders so i get a code 300 and a code325 knock sensor,, I have cleared the codes and they still come back on I have done a tune up plugs, wires,...

I think you should replace the knock sensor first, I have seen this problem very often. The sensor is located under the intake plentum but you can get to it by using a 1/4 drive long extension and a 10 mm universal socket.Loosen the bolt and use the wire to pull the bolt and sensor out, the unplug the sensor.15 minutes of work , no big deal.

I need to locate by picture the ckp sensor for a 1999 mercury villager

The CPK is only used for diagnostics, it does not affect driveability. For a 99, I think you have a bad ditributor due to a bearing going that spreads brown dust on your optical sensor (CPMS) that controls spark timing and fuel injection.

remove distributor cap and rotor (1 screw on side) and remove metal cover. look for dust on slotted wheel and opitcal sensor. blow dust off and see if better for a while. If yes, get rebuilt distributor on ebay for $200. There's a guy on ebay who sells bearing for $30, but Ive never replaced one.

Location of the engine diagnostic connector 1995 village mercury

The diagnostic connector is located on the engine near the starter. However, there are four connectors in that location and without pictures it would be difficult to determine which is the proper one
