You can't. Older GM's could bypass the key with a resistor, But it still had to have the security disabled. Yours is I believe a passlock III. You'll have to fix the problem. Could be as easy as a new key and a relearn procedure. Have the codes read.
Why do think the key security is bad? If you still have a factory key, this is not the problem...if no factory key, you can take your VIN number or original key to GM dealer to get new key that they will program for you...Check for dirty battery connections:)
Did you check for a vac leak ? There is extra air entering the throttle body or intake bypassing the throttle plate. Is the throttle plate completely closed ?
You probably can do what you want but really it is better to have cold tranny oil rather than another oil filter. Better if you repair/replace the leaking hose as the tranny will reward you for it.
The same thing happens on my 2003 Impala. I found that my dimmer switch has an intermittent failure where sometimes the dash lights go out even with the headlights on. If I wiggle the dimmer just right, the dash, radio, steering wheel, door locks, and every other light comes on (when the headlights are on). My fix was to mount my Garmin on the steering column in front of the speedometer so when the lights go out I know how fast I'm going. A replacement dimmer (or bypassing the current one and adding a resistor) should take care of it.
If the security light has come on, that is indicating a problem in the antitheft system. Tho it may be intermittent right now, it can only get worse. Read thru this link, it will help you understand the problem, offer some tips and tricks, and show you some ways to bypass and fix it.
If your talk about the cooler on the driver side the is a 13 mm nut holding tha braket that holds the cooler bypass, there is also wire conduit that has tobe removed befor you can get to the nut. It's best to remove that plastic loom in order to get a short socket on the nut.
