Get the crank sensor replaced. This will require removing the crank pulley-balancer to replace the sensor.

Suspect you have a loose clamp on a radiator hose or the oil change guy made something leak. There is a tool which is similar to a a bicycle pump in that it pressurizes the water system and your engine does not have to run or be hot to test. Some major auto parts stores may have a loaner.

Its going to stay hot and lose pressure until you fix the leak.

Probably the pressure cap, if the water is brown you need a flush and check the pressure cap, the water stays the colour of the anti freeze unless air is getting in. Run the engine and see if the hoses go tight, this indicated the system is pressurising correctly, if not you will get the water boiling and hot spots in the head (the pressure lifts the boiling point of water by 10 degrees or so)

My 1996 jeep grand cherokee is blowing cold air for the first 30 minutes of my ride home (20-degree weather), then warms up slightly but never gets hot -- i'm guessing heater core (it has 200k+ miles)

It is most likely a thermostat. As your car gets older the thermostat begins to lose its spring like properties and stays open all the time causing your car to never warm up.

If you can't tackle right away, start your car in the morning and let it run for about 15 minutes to warm up. Be sure to turn the heat on full blast and recirculate the air.

For a 95 Chevy Silverado....I replaced the Blend Door Actuator on the passenger side. Just behind the slide out cup holder. Yo ucan acces easily by removing the ash tray piece and the glove box....Or just the glove box and work like hell to get a socket in a tight place.

There are 2 actuators....one controlling the (Mode and Temp 89018681) and the other the (Air Inlet 89018367). I called the dealer and the parts were 85-125. I got it From TBA Auto (local store) for 39.00. A 20 min job at most.

You can get the engine codes read. Many auto parts stores will loan you a reader to do it(free). The codes will give an idea where to go.
