I have an '02 model of the same and they are located on either "side" of the block. There are two, one for each side but am not sure if there are others but I believe there are only two. I hope this helps you, Jesus loves you, John 3:16-17 (KJV)
It doesn't have a coolant sensor it has a CHT, cylinder head temperature sensor. This type of sensor is much more precise measuring engine operating temperature.
Clear the code and drive the vehicle. If the code comes back, then you know it's real condition and not a one time event.
Changing the temperature sensor isn't going to remedy the situation. Most likely the thermostat will need to be replaced.
Actually, the newer ('05+) Duratec motors have a sealed airbox. There is a meter on the side of it (positioned just behind the driver side headlight.) To qualify as a Partial Zero Emission vehicle all emissions parts are required to last for 100k miles. 100k miles is when Ford recommends replacing it. Yes... you replace the ENTIRE airbox. Often times it's more cost effective to replace the unit with a traditional cold air induction kit (~$150) with a more traditional air filter.
