SOURCE: where are timing marks on
I'm not extremely familiar with this vehicle, but most GM products have gone to distrubitorless iginition. Timing can't be adjusted without replacing the Engine Control Unit, or re programming it commily called re flashing. Unless you are trying to find the timing marks for a timing belt. then I would consult Alldata or Auto Zone. they can help.

It's the vent solinoid on the fuel filler neck. It is self checking, it is perfectly normal.
SOURCE: 2005 saturn vue 4c. 5sp. code PO378 is on,there
Code P0378 means, DTC P0378 Timing Reference High Resolution Signal B Intermittent/Erratic Pulses. DTC stands for Diagnostic Trouble Code. I highly doubt it has anything to do with the actual timing of the engine. Chances are there is a problem with the camshaft / crankshaft sensor (which measure engine timing). Without a scanner that shows individual sensor inputs there's no real way to know. I would try replacing the sensors (they aren't incredibly expensive), this should take care of the problem and if not the only other option is to take it into a repair facility.
SOURCE: when should the timing belt be changed on a 2004
This is not specfic to your car, but I think all have the timing belt to be changed at 60,000 give or take a few thousand. I have gone as far 100,000 on one.
