Might fit but if your car is fitted with a passive immobiliser that uses a transponder embedded in the key don't expect it to start the engine until it has been coded.

I strongly suggest you have a chat with your local dealer or auto locksmith and gather some basic information before you spend any money.

91 pontiac grand prix se key stuck in ignition

91 Grand Prix SE: If you can turn car off with the key, but can't get the key out - first thing you should check is to see if the button on the shifter is fully releasing (the button on the shift handle you have to push to shift out of Park).

I am replacing the steering column with keys can i reset the anti theft

The key that fits the replacement column lock will not have the right chip for your car. You would need to have a new key with the chip for your car cut with the teeth to fit the new lock.

My grand prix se 3100 v6 wont turn over. the security light flashes, but the caar wont turn over.

if the security is activated the car wont crank for 15 min what is happening is when u insert the key it isnt reading the key if u have a spare key try it and if it does the same thing then id say u will have to change the ignition lock because the contacts are worn out in it and it isnt reading the key

Lost all electrical function in my 1995 pontiac grand prix se i was going over the railroad track and when i did i lost all of my electrical and noe when i turn the key on nothing when i open the door...

Sounds like no ground check engine to body ground and battery to body ground. Try using jump wire from neg to body if you cant see connection point make sure its a solid connection.

1995 pontiac grand prix does not start. the key reads 30ohms resistance and that is what I get at the wires coming from the ignition. all fuses under hood good. dash lights up but when i turn the key...

Not sure what part of the key you are measuring or the significance.

Your car might be fitted with an immobiliser and if it is it could be malfunctioning but the vehicle handbook is the best source of information about this.

Your description could equally indicate faulty ignition/starter switch, connections, wiring or starter relay if fitted.

1995 pontiac grand prix se 3.1 want start, tried shifting park to neturl, plenty spark, tried shorten starter with screw driver, securtity flashes on dash, turn key nothing , all fuses hot, what next,

If the security system has been triggered this will shut down not only your starter but also your fuel pump. the most comon cause on a passlock II system is the wiring at the ignition lock cylinder breaks causing the computer to not be able to see the resistance chip in the key. you will most likely need a new ignition lock cylinder, keep in mind that you need to have the new cylinder keyed for the original key otherwise if you use a different key the security system will see the wrong resistance and you are back to square 1. your local dealer will be able to read the resistance of your original key and get you a cylinder to match.
