I have power but no starting turn key and nothing something to do with the instrument cluster board may have to change the main cluster board if u look at your odo and drive lights and there not showing hit the dash thats what i do
This missing instrument cluster, which is sometimes accompanied by a clicking relay from under the hood, is often a cause of a dirty battery connection. Remove your battery connection and clean the terminals and try again.
Always remove the negative first and reconnect it last.

Security light lit on the instrument cluster - anti-theft system . What happens when you turn the key on ? Instrument cluster telltale lights turn on ? Do the headlamps turn on ? are they bright .
Do you have a professional type scan tool ? Need to check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes in all the vehicle control modules , not just OBD 2 . Instrument cluster not working - PATS - passive anti-theft system won't let the starter engage . No communication between instrument cluster an the PCM - engine computer . Your best bet mite be to take it to a qualified repair shop. Have you check for power an grounds to the instrument cluster ? Do you know how to do that ? Viewing a wiring diagram for the instrument cluster an then using loaded circuit test procedure . Do you know what that is ? Using something that draws a few amps - headlamp . Pull the instrument cluster , look at a wiring diagram free here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb/ Enter vehicle info. Year , make , model an engine . Under system click on body & accessories then under subsystem click on instrumentation . Click the search button then the blue link .
Don't know what i'am taking about ? Watch these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efKoWifdcag https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SO-eKuhCOqc&t=125s
The PATS transceiver is located behind the steering column shroud and communicates with the encoded ignition key. During each vehicle start sequence, the PATS transceiver reads the encoded ignition key identification code and sends data to the instrument cluster.
The control functions are contained in the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster carries out all of the PATS functions, such as receiving the identification code from the encoded ignition key, validating the PATS key code and sending an enable message through the controller area network (CAN) to the powertrain control module (PCM). The instrument cluster initiates the key interrogation sequence when the vehicle ignition switch is turned to ON or START. All elements of PATS must be functional before the engine is allowed to start. If any of the components are not working correctly, the vehicle does not start.
Nothing working on the instrument cluster ? Shouldn't be a battery problem with being only five months old. Turn on the headlamps , do they shine bright ? Does the check engine light come on when you turn the key to the on position ? Do all warning lights come on with the key on , then some go off after a few seconds ? Checking for diagnostic trouble codes in the instrument cluster would be a good thing to do also . The Instrument cluster could be the problem .
Is the anti-theft light lit on the instrument cluster ? Won't start how ? When you turn the key to start , what happens ? Nothing ? This would be a No crank - no start condition . Now if you turn the key to start and the starter engages and spins the engine and it doesn't start an run , this is a engine cranks no start condition ! Now which is your problem ?
There are two fuse's IGN A fuse 40amp and IGN E fuse 10amp ,both are located in the under hood fuse/relay box . Also there is starter relay located in the same under hood fuse /relay box . There also is a crank fuse 10amp in the under hood fuse box . Besides the fuse's and relay ,the ignition switch or the PNP - park neutral position switch could be bad . Testing the whole starter circuit should be done ! How to voltage drop test starter motor circuit
If it's an automatic, check if the lever is at P or N. Check if your car has immobilizer that needs you to enter codes before it will start. Gauges moving full scale usually indicates that the instruments cluster is 'missing' an additional IGN supply. When you turn your key to the ON position, all lights in the cluster will light up. This position will make the ignition switch supply 2 IGN power to most electrical systems. If one is missing, the car may not start. Check all fuses under the fascia and in the engine bay. Be on the look out for fuses that have melted 'seats'. They may give intermittent power. Xantia's fuse slots gets melted with age, so the fuse becomes loose and supply gets disconnected.
Wont turn over after replacing battery ??????? When you turn the key to the start position nothing happens ? Have to ask because won't turn over means something else to somebody else .
You have a engine cranks - no start or you have a no crank - no start .
Do the light's on the instrument cluster come on when you turn on the key ? Do the Headlamps work ?

This problem can be three things. The ignition switch is a good place to start but its under a recall and you should not spend any money on this repair. The passlock system next to ignition switch should probably be changed at the same time and is also under a recall. The instrument cluster is the most probable in your case. The reason i say that is because the key is the headlights not turning on you may also have some lights on the instrument cluster flickering on and off at weird times. The speedometer or other gauges are probably not working all the time. if you are handy you can remove the cluster and send it out for repair. The tech who repairs this might even tell you that the instrument cluster has nothing to do with non start issue but it does. the passlock anti theft reads the ignition key when you insert it into ignition cylinder. Once you turn the key the ignition sends a signal through the instrument cluster to the pcm. the pcm will allow the car to start if the correct signal is recieved. If the pcm recieves no signal it allows the car to start for a second and then kills the car.
